This Alien Tech Deck is a replacement deck for the gamers who purchased the first printing of Alien Frontiers. The original Alien Tech Decks are perfectly fine as is, but the color of the card backs change in the second printing and some gamers expressed a desire to have their first-printing decks match the new card back color.
